Comfortable and stylish

The watch is very comfortable and with a case diameter of 44 mm sits right at that cusp of being large enough to be noticed without being so large to the point of being obnoxious. Face design is very stylish with a black honeycomb surface offset by bright yellow markings and a small, subtle Ferrari logo at the 3 o'clock position. The rubber strap, however, borders on the garish with a large yellow logo pronouncing 'Scuderia Ferrari' running along most of the bottom portion of the strap. Functionality is limited to just timekeeping the second hand has a soft, audible tick when the face is placed up against your ear. Overall, a mostly stylish watch that would've been a tad bit better with a more subtle strap design. (Posted on 12/14/2017)

Great value for the price

This Ferrari Redrev watch is very bright. The face is easy to read and it features the Ferrari symbol on the front. The watch is a 44mm case so it's perfect for most wrists. I could see teens digging this watch. The band is rubber and while it is functional it's not going to win any awards. The lettering and symbol are pretty bold. One thing I like about this watch is that it looks like a much pricier watch. I usually wear Citizens but this watch sits nicely in my collection. Also, the watch comes with really top-notch packaging. This would make a terrific gift for any Ferrari fans. (Posted on 12/14/2017)

I'm a bit of a tech gadget geek, ad most of the time I wear a smart watch which offers a wide range of useful functions in coordination with my smart phone. But recently I had the impulse to go off the grid, to leave all of the electronics plugged into the chargers and just keep things simple and uncluttered. Unfortunately I realized that I no longer owned a simple, uncluttered watch. This Ferrari unit fits the bill. It's as simple as a watch can be - just the time, no date, alarms, stop-watch or anything else. It's light. And it reflects my lifelong enthusiasm for Formula 1. (Posted on 12/14/2017)

Attractive and unique casual watch

The design of this watch is interesting. The color scheme is yellow and black and the face resembles a tachometer, complete with green zone to red zone indicators. Hours are indicated in 24 hr format along the inside of the face and minutes along the outside edge of the face. It has the Ferrari name and logos along the band and on the face. It's not tacky or garish looking at all. It looks much more subtle on the arm than in the product photo. The case is plastic with a stainless steel back. The band is made of silicone and feels soft rather than overly rigid. It does attract and retain bodily oils, lotions and lint very easily. The mineral crystal sits nearly flush with the case. The watch has an accurate Japanese quartz movement.Overall, the build quality is very nice. The packaging is even top notch. The box, pillow and instruction book are all very nice and classy. They literally include a tiny instruction book rather than a foldout. The watch would make a great gift. It’s a nice casual watch that can also be used as a sporting watch. The water resistance is rated 3 ATM on the case. Accidental splashes from sources like hand washing or rain won't hurt it but it's not suitable for swimming, diving or other full immersion. One quick heads-up; there is a barely noticeable catch in the form of the Ferrari logo molded into the band. It helps keep the watch band secure. Make sure you push it out of the cutout when unfastening the watch. I’ve had quite a few silicone and rubber bands rip and tear in the past. If this one tears, that spot looks like one of the weak spots along with where the band folds when unlatching. The latter is where nearly all of my prior rubber/silicone bands failed. My husband's watch has been in the long, slow process of trying to kick the bucket. Since a job requirement for him is to have a watch, with a second-hand, that keeps time to the second, I thought I would give this a try and see if he liked it. Oh, did I mention - he's a bit picky when it comes to watches? So, he's been wearing the watch for a week now, and it has kept perfect time - he checked by the universal time clock. He also loves how it fits - he has a smaller wrist, and while it's on the tightest notch, it fits perfectly with no sliding around. The band itself is the most comfortable watch band he's ever used - the silicone strap is a hit. The watch itself is extremely handsome - it really is a nice looking watch. So why 4 stars? There is absolutely no light or glow or illumination to be found - not even on the hands. No way at all to see the watch in the dark. That is a *huge* annoyance for him, as it would be for me. A smaller annoyance is that there is no date, though for him that is more of a nit-pick than a true problem.Overall, considering the price point of the watch, it is well worth the purchase. If illumination isn't a big concern, then I would highly recommend this. For my husband to say it's one of the most comfortable he's ever had, well...that's saying something. (Posted on 12/14/2017)

Better readability than some other Ferrari watches, but the wristband has got to go

I wanted to like this watch more than I actually do. I already have 2 other Ferrari watches, and while the larger one with the date/day dials and extra stainless steel is great -- apart from the colors --, I wanted something with easier-to-read hands (one of my other watches has dark red hands); I chose this yellow-handed one because it looks like the time stands out better, and I really like yellow.Indeed, the yellow *does* stand out quite well -- I can read the time in a glance instead of a look, but I wasn't impressed with the overall quality of the watch compared with my larger, pricier model (Ferrari Men's 'XX Kers' Quartz Stainless Steel and Silicone Casual Watch, Color:Black (Model: 0830310). While the larger and heavier watch boasts "ALL STAINLESS STEEL" on the back of the case, this one is noticeably lighter and says "STAINLESS STEEL CASEBACK." So, I'm now wondering what the rest of the case *is* made of --- I'm assuming aluminum due to the lightness. My partner also didn't like this watch on me, complaining that it was too much of an advertisement. I took the point. The wristband is emblazoned with the Ferrari logo as well as "SCUDERIA FERRARI" down the other side in large yellow letters. All this, *plus* the small logo on the watch face, at 3 o' clock. I prefer the more subtle logo of my "XX Kers" watch, which simply has the small icon on the watch dial face. That said, I'm actually thinking about scraping/sanding off the logo, or changing out the wristband. (I do like the feel of the wristband, however: it's soft, yet sturdy.)Pricewise, I think you can do better. As I type this, the watch is around $77, while my XX Kers watch rings in at $144. But you're not getting much for the $77, other than becoming a walking advert. (Posted on 12/14/2017)
